After reading this week’s assigned chapters I am now able to more fully understand how to evaluate and identify relevant databases and website searches. I also learned several different types of search methods on the internet. Chapter nine talked a lot about evaluating not only the authors and publishers, but also the effectiveness and comprehensiveness of a topic. It’s always better to use sources that have a balanced view from both sides of the topic their writing about. I think I got the most out of chapter 8. In the past I have struggled to read critically when it came to my own work. After reading the, “how can I read with an attitude?” segment I was able to better understand my role as a critical reader.
